Arrival by Air: Arrive by 12:00 noon at the Asheville Regional Airport in North Carolina. A shuttle service to Quality Inn is available 24 hours a day by calling 692-7231. Accommodations: The Belle Chere festival will draw thousands of tourists to Asheville the same weekend, therefore book your flights and hotel reservations as soon as possible! The conference center is located thirty miles outside of downtown Asheville, just west of the airport. Roommates: We will help everyone who registers for the training to connect with each other by sending you a list of participants along with your confirmation letter. Additional Information? Please call our office, 9-5 PM five days a week at 1-828-254-7756. A confirmation postcard will be sent upon receiving your registration. Confirmation packets will be sent the week of May 1, 2001. To Register: Please send in your deposit of $250. The balance of $350 may be paid at the start of the event. In the case of cancellation prior to June 1st, a refund of $200 will be given. Bring: Please bring your sticky mat, strap, blocks, 3 to 4 blankets, and any extra props, i.e.; bolsters, blocks or blankets you can easily travel with, comfortable yoga clothes and an open mind. |

ERIC SMALL travels the world teaching adaptive yoga for people with Multiple Sclerosis and other disabilities. Today, at 70 he is an advanced yoga practitioner, a certified instructor of Iyengar Yoga, and a long time student of B.K.S. Iyengar. He has trained and guided thousands of teachers and students working with MS and other neuromuscular diseases for the past 40 years. Among his achievements, he pioneered the Eric Small Yoga for MS program in Southern California, one of the finest programs in the country. The program has grown from 1 class with 10 students in 1985 to 16 classes with 650 students. In 1999, he produced a video for this special population in cooperation with the Northern and Southern California chapters of the National MS Society. Eric was &diagnosed with relapsing remitting MS 47 years ago and today he is a vibrant &testament to yoga's power to cope with this disease. Eric is a gifted teacher and yogi who will help inspire and broaden your experience of yoga. |

LILLAH SCHWARTZ is the founder and director of the Lighten Up! Yoga and Healing Arts Center in Asheville, NC. She began her path as a yoga teacher 25 years ago. Her extensive background includes 15 years as a certified Iyengar Yoga instructor, 10 years as a licensed massage therapist, Workshop Leader, business owner and director. Lillah is the program designer and primary trainer in the Lighten Up! Yoga teacher training certification program established in 1997 and currently in its 4th season. Building on a natural inclination for yoga therapeutics, Lillah produced two yoga videos, one for low back pain and one for neck and shoulder pain currently available through Yoga Journal. She is also certified by the National Safety Council as a Back Power Trainer and has experience teaching this program in Industry. Lillah has studied and practiced many different modalities of natural healing and spiritual arts, including her participation as an initiate in the Sufi Order of the West. Lillah is excellent at explaining concepts in yoga that are difficult to understand, and will help you gain insight into the fundamental principles of yoga and their applications. |
