Getting Results with EFT with Gary Schwartz, PhD
***This class is for EFT graduates only, those who have already learned the basic technique.
Cost $35.00
We will spend part of the afternoon fine tuning our EFT skills to remove inner resistance for such things as developing better habits, achieving goals, finishing projects and becoming more successful. Then we will install the energetic match for the results you choose. We will also do some deep inner focusing and some Qi Gong exercises to raise our energy.
You can use EFT to remove procrastination, change habits, cultivate a prosperous state of mind and to simply deepen your enjoyment of each day.
The recent movie The Secret, emphasizes that we are all creating our own personal reality in response to our thoughts and emotions. It is my experience that the "law of attraction" is working all of the time in manifesting what we are sending out energetically. EFT is the perfect tool to bring your energetic vibration into synch with your stated goals. Working, as a group will amp up our results. Bring a list of goals that you would like to achieve and we'll readjust our energy to match them.
This afternoon workshop is only open to those who have had the basic EFT training. To register, send a check for $35 per person made out to "Light Works" to 16 Finalee Avenue, Asheville, NC 28803.

May 30 - June 1, 2008 - A Weekend with Aadil Palkhivala, Instructor
Co-sponsored by Lighten Up Yoga and One Center Yoga
Purna Yoga, founded by Aadil Palkhivala and his wife Mirra. Purna Yoga distills and integrates the vast aspects of Yoga into an invaluable set of tools for transformation and healing. Offering wisdom and techniques for the union of the body and the mind with the spirit, Purna Yoga teaches alignment-based asana, meditation and pranayama, along with nutrition and yogic living. Purna Yoga is the art of loving yourself by living from the heart. For more information on Purna yoga, visit www.purnayoga.com. Read more about Aadil Palkhivala .
Friday 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm- Yama, Niyama, and the Ashtanga Path in Purna Yoga™
Lecture, Discussion and Asana Practice. The building blocks of a yoga practice are the Yamas and Niyamas. They form the foundation of Patanjali’s Ashtanga system (which arose from the Sankhya philosophy). We will discuss the Sankhya version of God and compare it to the understanding of the Divinity explained by Sri Aurobindo and the Mother.
Friday 2:00-5:00pm - Structuring a Yoga Class – Connection & Flow in Purna Yoga™
For students to feel a good class’ effects, sequences are critical. You will learn how to build classes towards a certain theme or posture (including how to use poses as preparations and releases for other poses) so that students feel complete and fulfilled by the end. The beautiful forms of asana when connected create a powerful flowing sequence which rejuvenates the body and focuses the mind. Learn how to practice and teach such flowing forms safely and effectively so that students not only avoid injuries in the shoulders and sacrum, but are able to practice for the rest of their lives.
Saturday 10:00 am - 1:00 pm • The Five Vayus in Purna Yoga™ Standing Poses
The Five Vayus are the five winds in the body which govern our movement and progress. Energetic grounding, so essential to the standing poses, comes from the apana vayu; simultaneously, the sense of lifting comes from the samana vayu. In this class, you will learn the role of all five vayus in standing poses. The basics of alignment will be assumed so that we may concentrate more fully on accessing the vayus, the understanding of which will make the standing poses deeply fulfilling.
Saturday 2:30-5:30 pm • The Yoga Nidra of Purna Yoga™
In Purna Yoga™, the mind, body and emotions are most effectively brought to rest in the still depths of consciousness when Shavasana is done progressively and systematically. We will incorporate the elements of earth, fire, water, air and ether as they are represented in the body to move towards the state of pure consciousness.
Sunday 10:00 am - 1:00 pm • The Sacred Sacrum in Purna Yoga™
The sacrum bears the burden of the spine; it is its root and contains its essence. When the sacrum is worked correctly, the rest of the spine almost magically falls into alignment. We will explore how to access and how to work the sacrum in front bends and backbends to bring freedom into our nervous systems and our lives.

6:30 pm - 9 pm: Stretching: Physiology and Practice

This class will help you get the most out of any breathing system by teaching you what these structures are and how to use them to get the effects you want. You will literally get “hands on” practice of the mechanics of the lungs, airways, diaphragm, ribcage, the muscles that move the ribcage, abdominal movements, and related topics. Beginners will get a great, safe introduction to breath work, and experienced students will learn to practice in more sophisticated ways.
